Home
Welcome new residents home and help us build community.
Welcome Home Baskets
Many FC residents move into our communities with little more than they can carry. Become a Welcome Home Basket supporter and provide a laundry basket filled with household items (sheets, dish set, cleaning supplies, etc.) needed to turn an apartment into a home. These baskets are a physical representation of a fresh start and a warm welcome into the neighborhood. This is a great opportunity for individuals or groups of all kinds (work, family, community, faith-based, etc.).Click here to view the Welcome Home Baskets flyer.
Supper Clubs
Clubs offer opportunities for groups to build community by providing a nutritious meal and fellowship time with the single adult residents at one of FC’s eight efficiency apartment communities. Volunteer groups bring a meal onsite to serve and share with residents (serving approximately 40-50 individuals). Groups should consist of 10-15 individuals and provide all items needed to prepare, serve and clean up the meal.

“What I love most about volunteering as a Client Liaison at the Prosper Center is, being the first person clients meet about their taxes, I encounter so many wonderful individuals. There’s truly nothing better than seeing the stress melt away that moment when they exhale, knowing we’re committed to helping them navigate tax season. Knowing my efforts make the process more efficient and builds trust with the community makes this role deeply enriching and impactful.”

“Supper Clubs have been a great way for us to connect with residents on a more personal basis while supporting Foundation Communities’ mission. Serving dinner to the residents while sharing a smile and a conversation creates a meaningful volunteer experience that our employees look forward to.”

It’s amazing to see how the kids develop over the course of the program, and I knew that this was something I wanted to continue participating in. I chose to join the FC team as a YPA this month, and it’s proving to be the most worthwhile experience!”

“I was thrilled to discover an opportunity to volunteer with the healthy living initiatives through Foundation Communities. After expressing the desire for a food pantry assignment, the orientation was beyond impressive. The moment I stepped into the property’s pantry location I knew I had found my place. As an amateur gardener and retired nurse practitioner, I have relished distributing fresh produce to our clients whom I have become acquainted with and grown to love.”
