The Succeed program provides a clear pathway into and through college for students who may face barriers to completing a college degree.

Designed with you in mind, Succeed can help you overcome obstacles to reaching your educational goals. It is part of the College Hub, Austin’s first college center where you can receive financial, academic, and other support services regardless of which school you plan to attend.

In Succeed you work directly with a coach to create a plan towards graduation, while accessing benefits like matched funds for tuition, emergency assistance and support throughout your learning journey.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis each long semester.

 

You may be eligible to apply for Succeed if you:

  • Are the first in your family to attend college or are a post-traditional student
  • Plan to attend ACC, Texas State, TAMU-CT, or an eligible local institution for the upcoming academic year
  • Want to work with a college success coach for at least one academic year

Q1: What is the Succeed program?
A: Succeed is a non-profit, community-based program that offers a clear pathway into and through college for students who may face barriers to completing a college degree. It provides mentoring and support to help students overcome obstacles to reaching their educational goals.

Succeed supports students on an ongoing basis throughout their academic school year. It is offered through the College Hub at Foundation Communities.

Q2: What services does Succeed provide?
A: Participating students work directly with a coach to create a plan toward graduation. Students have access to benefits like matched funds for tuition, emergency assistance, and support throughout their learning journey.
Q3: What colleges does Succeed partner with?
A: Succeed partners with community colleges, colleges, and universities in Central Texas that are not for profit. Our students attend Austin Community College, Texas State University, Huston-Tillotson University, the University of Texas at Austin, Temple College, Texas A&M Central Texas University, and more.
Q4: Can I participate if I attend a college outside of Central Texas?
A: Unfortunately, not. Succeed only partners with higher education institutions located in Central Texas. This includes colleges and universities located in Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties.
Q5: Can I participate in Succeed if I already have an associate's or bachelor's degree?
A: While the College Hub is open to all students, Succeed is reserved for students who don’t already hold a credential. Students can participate in Succeed if they have earned an associate’s degree and are actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Students that already hold a bachelor’s degree are not eligible for Succeed.
Q6: What is the College Hub and how is it related to Succeed?
A: The College Hub is a free, non-profit college and career center where you can receive coaching related to enrolling in college classes or workforce certifications, financial aid applications, and other support services regardless of which school you plan to attend. Succeed is a program that is part of the College Hub, with more extensive services for eligible students.
Q7: When should I apply to Succeed?
A: You can apply for the Succeed program prior to each semester. Succeed reviews applications:

– April 1st through July 1st for Fall semester admittance

– November 1st through December 15th for Spring semester admittance
